Been Awhile...

So I haven't posted in awhile, on here, and on Wattpad. It's been over a week for this, and I haven't posted a new chapter on Wattpad since Monday. I've been super busy! Ugh, we had tests this last week since it was the last week of the quarter, now I'm on Spring Break! Yay! Spending the week, up to Wednesday, here at home. Then on Wednesday heading out with my Upward Bound friends for College visits, and our Spring Workshop! So...iv'e been busy. But I'm almost (fingers crossed) done with the book. My editor, Paige, has been a huge help. With fixing my mistakes and helping out with ideas. And all my readers and fans have been great too. I really feel like this book is going to happen! Yay! Well off to write chapter 22, ttyl!

Hey!

So haven't updated in a while! I posted chapter 17 and will try to work on chapter 18. You see my parents (whom have no clue I'm even writing a book.) are making me inoculate mushrooms, that's right mushrooms. My stepfather and uncle started a business, "Two Fungi's mushrooms" and it seems like everything seems to revolve around it...:( So anyway, I end up getting called lazy, a lot. Yes, because my NEVER missing school, doing really good in school, doing multiple school activities; Drama, Key Club, forensics, school newspaper, ect. ect. ect. (which they get mad that they have to drive me, even when volunteering...????) never doing drugs, never drinking, never partying. Well just think of everything bad a teen does, I don't do that. Well okay, my room is kinda a mess every once and a while, I don't really have time to clean it, and I'm sarcastic a lot (well at least they think I am, I'm just standing up for myself.) Now if this makes me lazy please tell me because on top of all that crap, I'm writing a novel. To me that doesn't mean I'm lazy, it's called being a very overworked, stressed out teen. Who has to much stuff going on to have time to do crap like this at home. UGH. I really want to tell somehow, besides my cousin, in my family about the book. That way maybe they could make my parents see that it is a good thing, that will most likely happen. See I feel if I tell them now, when it's not done yet, they're just going to say that it will never happen. Which they do with every other subject. But whatever, only a year and a half and I'm gone! So I hope to write more tonight, and if not. That sucks. Can't wait till spring break when I can finally work on the book for more than a minute. 

YAY!

Made it to state! Yay! So...I did that, then bought The Time Travelers Wife, Leap Year, and Eat Pray Love. I had seen the last two before, but I had read the book of Time Travelers Wife a while ago. And LOVED it. But it made me sad lol. Working on chapter 15 as we speak. Hopefully I don't get to tired, and finish most of it tonight. But....will most likely fall asleep on my key board lol.

Update...

Posted chapter 14 since my last post, it seems like people like the book a lot. I'm glad! But I kinda wish there was a few more readers, I've had over 1500 readers so far, but others have had far more. Hopefully I gets some more soon! But I'm happy with what I have now too. Well not much else to say, it's Friday! kinda yay! But tomorrow I have to leave at 5:30 (The time I normally get up...lol.) But it's all good, Forensics district! :)

Day 19

So this whole "doing this everyday thing" is not working as you can see from the Day 17 to Day 19 lol. But some days I don't have much to talk about so that's okay. Lets see...Update: I finished chapter 13 on Monday. Was going to start chapter 14 but then decided to go back through all the chapters and do a quick outline. That way I can just go right to a notebook instead of searching through different chapters (even though I mostly know the book by hear, dialog and all!) I'm going to most likely post a map of Drustan and Marias house soon on Photobucket.com so that should help people later, and one of Castle Andra. School wise...French test tomorrow...:(m we'll see how that goes! And this Saturday I'm going to District for Forensics! Hopefully we make it to state, again! But...I have to get on a bus at 6AM on a Saturday...I'll have to get up even early then I normally do...sigh. But it will be worth it.

Day 16

Update: Chapter 12 is complete as of last night! Working on Chapter 13 at the moment. Most likely won't post it till tomorrow though. So far the readers seem to be enjoying it, hopefully they will till the end. I'm hoping to have someone edit it, I sent it out to someone one Wattpad, we'll see what they come up with. School is officially annoying...I really need some time off just to figure this book out lol. Well hopefully if you're reading this blog you're reading my book and you like them both, thanks!

Day 15

Update: I finished chapter 11 on Thursday! I'm going to finish chapter 12 this weekend, and I changed some stuff in the prologue and Chapter 1. Not major, but I just tweaked it a bit. I have a new Book Cover due to an awesome fan of mine! (Thank you so much!) I don't have very much else to say...school still kinda sucks...but there are some good things going on! I'm going to districts for Forensics next Saturday! And hope to go to State for the 2nd year in a row, (Fingers crossed!) What else...I hope to see Beastly this weekend. The book was awesome hopefully the movie is too!

Update: Couldn't work on book last night, but am determined to either finish chapter 11 or get almost done tonight. Hopefully it happens! My Pen pal in Scotland is awesome! I'm glad I have a connection to the country I love!

Day 11

Going to post chapter 10 tonight, then try to finish chapter 11. I signed up for two semi big articles at my Newspaper. Revolutions of the world, and Spring Break activities. Second one isn't that bad, but the first one is little tough, I'll have to get down in dirty with bloodshed from Libya, Yemen, and so forth. Gods...this world is incredibly depressing. But what ever...we'll get it over, hopefully.
I'm really considering changing my book to third person, feel like it will flow better. but for now I'm doing first, I'll go change it in the future...that'll be fun...lol. Well hopefully if you're reading my blog you're reading my book, and enjoy it! Thanks!

Day 9

Posted chapter 8! I have written 11 chapters so far, and have been just rewriting some stuff in them and posting. not looking forward to typing all new chapters...takes time, which I don't have. Ugh, school why do you hate me so? They should have a class for writers, just to let us write lol.

So...today I signed up for ScottishPenPals.com and found another girl that's the same age as me in Scotland, we're emailing each other now! yay! I'm also looking at a Study Abroad program, hopefully I get to go to Scotland! Not much else to say. School is annoying and time consuming, and I really need to just sleep for a few days. Well, talk to you later!

Day 7 & 8

Posted Chapter 7, and created a map of The High Guards house. Hopefully this lets readers visualize the house better. I'm working on a map right now of Andra. It's not perfect but it will do the trick. Can't wait till Spring Break when I can just sit and work on the book! But, for half the vacation I'll be on college visits and and the Upward Bound Spring Workshop. UB is worth missing some writing time. So yes I did poorly on that Math quiz...but I still have an A in the class! Don't know how that worked out. The two Unit tests I did felt like at least B's yay! So...now this weekend I have more time to write, but really need to figure out French. Thanks! And remember to read my book!

Day 4...5...6...Blah.

So...my last post was Monday...wow, the week went fast...but horrible. I wanted to post everyday but that didn't work out to well...So here's the gist of the week. Posted chapter 6 on Monday, Friends have told me it's awesome (yay!) I'm reading this book called "Girl with the glass feet" I thought it was going to be a metaphor...but no, she actually has glass feet. The books very addicting, wish I could sit down an enjoy it, but...I have two huge unit tests tomorrow. In Economics and History, both the same teacher, both the only classes I don't have an A in...:( So hopefully I do good tomrorrow, but there is SO much to know...ugh...sigh...Also, I have a French Quiz tomorrow, not horrible...but still. I had a Math quiz today...my mind was so messed up over these other tests that I'm pretty sure I bombed my math one, but so far the worse grade I've got on a test in Math is a B-ish so it's all good. But...sigh...school is getting in the way of my book. I started making maps to add with the book on Wattpad, a friend told me that would help since there's so many places they're at. So, tomorrow night I'll post chapter 7, and hopefully these maps. Sorry for the random bunch of stuff post, but I'm super tired...annoyed...cranky... emotional...have a headache...need to sleep...and need to read...ugh. Hope you guys are reading my book! Thanks!

Day 3...Update

Update:

Chapter 6 is officially published on Wattpad...with a few errors, but I told the readers about them. I'll just have to go back later and fix them. YAY! That took forever, but now I'm finished...with this chapter lol. Also, made my "office" area much better today, I can actually do paperwork on my desk now. Thanks, and remember read the book...Chapter 6 happens to be my "right now" favorite.

Day 3...Fixed!

Late last night I fixed chapter 6...YAY! But now on the "lovely" Monday morning, I must go out and shovel. I live in the country, I have no sidewalks. Just a large amount gravel...a VERY large amount. Oh! and the drifts? Everywhere...all that snow from the fields, it's in my lawn...on my driveway...half way up my windows...(I'm sitting upstairs right now...pretty sure the roof will collapse...) UGH, and I must go out in the cold and shovel it...sigh. I really wish I could have a day just to veg...I'd work on my book...but just to sit doing nothing. I mean I don't do "a lot" anyway. But it's those little things that distract me..."Come get me this...cut this out...call this...go get this...go stack this...go shovel this...bake this...and so on and so forth. But...I get called lazy...yes me, with the "almost" perfect GPA, who does every club at school, in all the Drama related activities, volunteers like crazy, and is writing a book...is called lazy. Though, my parents don't know about he book (they wouldn't care, and would most likely make fun of it.) but still, they must see that I'm not just fiddling on Facebook, i'm sitting here typing till the wee hours of the night...I'm pretty sure they'll figure it out when they see my book somewhere (fingers crossed on publishing this). Well, at least I have this blog to rant...it's kinda working...though I'm spending time on this when I could be doing other things, but still it's worth it. Day 2...Missing some of the book...sigh.

So I've been putting chapters of my book on Wattpad and a couple days ago I got to chapter 6...but realized it wasn't really chapter 6. It had different parts from different chapters all mixed up in one...sigh...and I had no clue where any of it was from. So I decided to go back to my old computer and try to retrieve the files and go from there...only the computer is not turning on. So I went back to my other old computer ( I had to use this one when my other old computer was on the fritz...the same one that isn't working now...) but it's a '98 and it  unfortunately doesn't read my Flash drive...I know you're probably wondering why I kept two old computers lying around. But my laptop may break down, then I'd use my 2005...and before that it was if my 2005 broke down use the '98. So anyway, now I have to manually retype everything...not to big of a hassle, but time consuming and annoying. Oh the joys of writing a book! 

But the good thing is I don't have school tomorrow, so I'll be finishing up this hassle tomorrow (hopefully). But...it's snowing (a lot) here, so I'll be having to most likely shovel...hmm...maybe school will be cancelled Tuesday...hopefully.

Day 1...kinda

Day 1

I've been writing this book for a while, but we're going to just say this is Day 1 for the purpose of a nice flowing blog. Now, so far I have written 11 chapters of my book, and posted the prologue and 5 chapters on Wattpad. I'm trying to post the next one, but when I purchased a new computer (a laptop, easier to write a novel when you can move) and transfered the book over. It got a little messed up for some reason the chapters flew into each other...so I have no clue were to begin and end the chapter...so I must go back to my old computer (thankfully I still have it.) and either try once again to transfer it, or type it all over again. Either way it will be annoying but necessary. 

Thursday we staged a walkout...so, I would have done this yesterday (Friday) because I had the day off due to the "Bill" issue...(so now you now I'm from Wisconsin...or now you know because I just said so) but I was very distracted by CNN all day, and never got to it. It's very depressing what's going on in our world...Bloodshed...loss of jobs...raising taxes...cutting benefits...raising the prices of everything else! It really makes me want to just pick up and move...but I really need to finish school, all of it...sigh, college in the horizon. As you can now tell there was my first random, ramble of this blog...I'll do this alot, it's part of that whole, "get it off your chest thing" Oh, one more random thing...one of my parents unplugged the TV so that I could not watch it, isn't that like taking a text book away? I wasn't watching some stupid mind numbing television show...I was watching CNN...seriously? Plus, I could just plug it back in, but it's that whole "defying" them thing...hate being treated like a child. But so be it, only need to put up with it for a while longer.

Hmm...trying to think of something to say of the book...I'll most likely do the next post as something along the lines of what I "want" the book to be about, and please, if there is any readers, read my book.

The beginning...

Hello readers...if there are any.

My name is Morgan. I am a High school student trying to make it through my incredibly stressful and tiring life, while writing a (hopefully will be published) book. I've been writing this book for awhile now, now that I think of it I should have started this blog a while ago. But didn't really think about it till watching Julie & Julia. I hope to have readers of my book read this, and readers of my blog read my book. But if there are no readers of my blog, I hope this will work as a "get it off my chest" type of thing. This blog will probably be boring to most, by the shear fact that it will mostly be me ranting about some mundane thing at school, and how it is affecting my book. I also post the many issues that come up that act as a major roadblock in my writing, and hopefully will receive comments on how to over come them. I hope that you as a reader can relate to me somehow, and feel at  ease to know there is someone else out there with the same issues. I know I would feel some form of relief. I hope to form some aspect of a bond with all of you, as you follow me through my crazed life. Thank you for reading! I'll try to post everyday...but we all know how that happens.
